Songs of Loneliness

The wind sang a beautiful lullaby
One of loneliness and tears that dries
In silence and darkness I lie still
Drenched by the bloods of the emotion that kills

The trees wail a silent cry
One of sadness that escapes the eye
Between the sheets where I sobbed and weeped
From sadness to hatred my emotions leaped

The night hum a peaceful tune
One of resentment that slowly consumes
Under the starless sky I sit and wait
For love to come and replace my hate
